NAFTA must be working for Mexico!

NAFTA Mexico...

.....Prior to NAFTA Mexico had a small deficit with the U.S.

.....Since NAFTA, Mexico's surplus with the United States has been rising every year

.....In 2007 alone, Mexico had a huge surplus with the U.S. of $90,000,000,000 (that's 90 billion dollars)

.....NAFTA MUST BE WORKING FOR MEXICO!


Although NAFTA has created a $90 billion U.S. trade deficit with Mexico, it appears to have worked for Mexico by sending multitudes of U.S. manufacturing jobs there.

However, Mexico lost most of it's small agricultural operations to U.S. imports due to NAFTA. Mexico has also lost most of it's traditional product manufacturing and parts suppliers to Communist China, where wages are 80% less than in Mexico.

With the advent of NAFTA, the Maquiladoras were greatly expanded in Mexico to assemble products for U.S. producers and have dominated Mexico's manufactruing sector since that time. More recently, the Maquiladoras have conveniently evolved into facilities that import parts from China for assembly and shipment to the U.S. to take advantage of NAFTA.

Mexico has a large trade surpus with the U.S. but has a growing deficit with China due to the imported parts going to the maquiladoras as well as the influx of consumer goods from China. Mexico's manufactruring wages are lower now than they were prior to NAFTA, due to the downward pressure on Mexican wages in the Maquiladoras to compete with the low wage condition in Communist China.

Most recently, many U.S. companies have been shutting down operations in the Maquiladors in favor of importing finished goods directly from Communist China. With fewer jobs in agriculture, fewer jobs in manufacturing, and with downward pressure on wages in the Maquiladoras - Mexicans are leaving their families, leaving their tropical climate, and are often risking ther lives to illegally immigrate to the U.S. to find work!

The illegal aliens from Mexico are entering the United States in an effort to survive! We can discuss illegal aliens rights, illegal aliens crossing the border, social security for illegal aliens, reporting illegal aliens, illegal aliens in prison, amnesty for illegal aliens or any number of issues concerning Mexican illegal aliens.

However, social security for illegal aliens or how to report illegal aliens are issues that do not get to the source of the problem. The source of the U.S. illegal alien problem is CHINA!

Thus - the low wage condition in Communist China is the current source of the illegal alien problem in the U.S.
