What will happen to wages for Chinese production workers?
China wages - will they increase significantly?
China has a labor pool over 4 times that of the U.S.
The Chinese work 80+hours/week at low wages
The use of child labor in factories is on the rise in China
The Communist Chinese government owns many businesses
The Communist Chinese government does not set minimum wages
Chinese businesses continue to increase sales without the need to pay their own labor enough to afford the products they make – mainly because:
.....the United States and many other nations continue to import more and more from China.
.....Chinese manufacturers can earn much bigger profits by exporting their products than by selling them to their low paid workforce
Thus, there is no logical reason for Chinese labor costs to rise to a competitive level with the U.S.And there is no logical reason for production workers, especially children working in factories in China, to contribute to a middle class income under Communist ownership and control. Meanwhile, according to middle class statistics, as we continue to lose manufacturing and jobs in the United States, middle class America is on the decline. The war on the middle class in America is directly related to the low wage condition in Communist China.
BUT - WAGES ARE RISING IN CHINA!
According to Laborsta, the statistical database for the International Labour Office, Chinese manufacturing wages have increased by an average of 12% over the past five years!Although 12% represents a healthy "percentage" increase - the question is - 12% OF WHAT? 5 years ago the average manufacturing wage in China was 17 cents per hour. With 12% annual increases over the past 5 years - the wage today has become 27 cents per hour. If the annual increase in wages continues to grow at this incredible 12% rate it would take 35 YEARS for China to become competitive with the United States.
THIRTY FIVE YEARS!
It must also be mentioned that Chinese production workers average 80 hours of work per week. They do not receive overtime benefits, since their is no concept of overtime or a 40 hour work week in China. That is quite a bargain for the business owners in China. It is interesting that the largest business owner in China is the Communist Chinese government! Thus, by buying Chinese made products WE are contributing to the continuation of the low socio-economic class of production workers in China, WE are contributing to the proliferation of child labor in factories in China, and WE are contributing to the declining middle class in America. If we continue to put US manufacturers out of business by buying Chinese products our vanishing middle class in America will continue to decline and America will continue to sell off capital assets to China if this destructive trend is not reversed.
Here is something to contemplate:
The US trade deficit with China is already enormous!
In 2007 alone the US trade deficit with China was $267,000,000,000
The US trade deficit with China is INCREASING EVERY YEAR!
What will the US TRADE DEFICIT be in 35 YEARS?
HOW MANY US MANUFACTURERS WILL WE HAVE THEN?
Will China OWN US?
Will we become THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINAMERICA?
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
